Overview

The Cinema Host is the critical first impression of the Cinema, and therefore is empowered to create memorable guest experiences while maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scan tickets for guests arriving in the Cinema.
  • Monitor guests in the Cinema, being watchful of signals from guests who may be in need of service and ensure only ticketed customers receive entry into the Cinema.
  • Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information.
  • When Food and Beverage orders are delivered, ensure it is without disrupting the movie experience.
  • Transport all dirty glassware/tableware from (name of room) to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the theater throughout the day. Ensure floors are swept and tables are sanitized.
  • Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around the Cinema and call for assistance if needed. Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and promote safe work practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting emergency service calls.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • One-year experience in a public contact service position preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests and associates.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and Point of Sale system and follow operating procedures.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the cinema and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, move or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Compensation

Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly
