JOB TITLE: Receptionist, Campus
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt
REPORTS TO: Principal
DEPT. /SCHOOL: Assigned Campus
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Serve as receptionist for the campus office. Greet all visitors. Answer and direct phone calls. Provide information and assistance for all visitors, students and faculty and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Clerical/secretarial skills
Ability to use multi-line phone system
Knowledge of telephone etiquette
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to use personal computer to do word processing
Experience:
One year clerical or secretarial experience preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
- Greet all visitors, be responsive to needs, and direct to appropriate staff/department.
- Supervise students who are in the office area on a temporary basis.
- Coordinate messages from parents or administrators to students or teachers in classroom.
- Provide clerical support for office.
- Assist with student related activities such as SAC and D-Hall assignments, tardy slips, etc. as assigned.
- Regular attendance; must be willing and able to report to work at designated site on a regular daily basis according to established work schedule.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Promote a positive and professional work environment
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Use personal computer, multi-line telephone, copier, fax machine, and other general office equipment.
