Job Details About UsHighly-acclaimed Marea, from famed hospitality firm Altamarea Group and located in Central Park South, is looking for an energetic & passionate host/hostess to join the team. Host / Hostess Responsibilities include :
Represents the restaurant as the frontline staff
Manage the responsibility of the reservation book and accommodate walk-ins
Balance the needs of the guest and demands of the restaurant
Ensure that service is prompt and courteous
Courteously direct guests where coats and other personal belongings can be left
Directs where guests can wait until their table is ready.
Assigns tables to guests suitable for the size of the group.
Escorts guests to their seats
Host / Hostess Requirements include:
Strong guest relation skills
Communication skills and ability to multitask
Ability to remain calm and organized in a high-volume environment
Desire to build client database and foster relationships
Physical requirements include: ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and to stand, walk up and down stairs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of time
Open availability, able to work flexible hours. Availability for evenings Friday-Sunday required.
