Custodian

Founded in 2011, Meridian School is a public, tuition-free charter school open to all students living in Williamson County. As a charter school, we are a school of choice, offering an inquiry-based curriculum and continuum for the International Baccalaureate Program K-12. • Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in campuses (including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, and trash/compost/recycling pick up)
• Complete general maintenance and repairs as needed, including replacing light bulbs
• Assist with set up and break down of tables, chairs, etc. during special events
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and cafeteria
• Assist in examining grounds for potential safety hazards and report to supervisor
• Keep building safety standards when working throughout the grounds, including keeping exterior doors closed and locked unless actively supervised
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to keep positive, cooperative working relationships with students, staff, and vendors
• Ability to work above ground on ladders and lifts
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to follow written and oral work orders from supervisor

This position will operate in a professional, non-smoking office environment, which at times can be busy with moderate noise and many unscheduled interruptions. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
