We are currently hiring for the restaurant to fill the position of Line Cook. Our restaurant is an upscale, fine dining work environment. Full-time or Part-time available. Benefits are available to those who are full-time, including a family-style meal at the beginning of your shift.
Please note: Tips are included once probation is complete. Tips are an EXTRA $3 - $5 per hour/ per pay period. We provide a professional work atmosphere where we're always positive and striving to be better every day.
Responsibilities:
-Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
-Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
-Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
-Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
-Clean up station and take care of leftover food
-Stock inventory appropriately
-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
-Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills:
-Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
-Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
-Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
-Familiar with industrys best practices
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of cooking experience in a restaurant setting
- Proficiency in food preparation, including knife skills
- Strong understanding of food handling and safety protocols
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary setting
- Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation techniques
