Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Food Service experience preferred
- Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license

Essential Functions:
- Exhibit professional behavior, emotional stability and sound judgment
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations (i.e. emergencies, employee/parent concerns)
- Ensure safety of students
- Prepare foods according to menu and production records
- Pre-portion or dish-up foods as required
- Setup serving line
- Stock milk cooler and snack carts
- Stock trays, cutlery, paper goods etc. as needed
- Serve foods to students and staff
- Collect money during meal service; write Cafe Money Reminders as required
- Verify that all meals served meet school lunch program requirements
- Verify unused food quantities; assure all leftovers and properly and safely stored
- Wash all trays, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and store properly
- Clean all equipment and work surfaces after use
- Balance cash register and complete required paperwork
- Make bank deposit if acting as head cook
- Assist in checking in orders and putting deliveries away
- Offer menu and recipe suggestions
- Make contacts with the public with tact and diplomacy
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
- Outstanding attendance and punctuality
- Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
- Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude, and conversation
- Complete required annual Continued Education, Civil Rights training and HACCP training
- Attend meetings and in-services as required
