Meaningful Work From Day One:
As the Lead Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen. Ensuring the highest quality of food production and providing leadership and guidance to the team of line cooks. The Lead Line Cook plays a pivotal role in menu development, inventory control, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
What You Can Expect:
Perform basic kitchen tasks with direction from supervisor
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grill, griddle, fryers and slicer
Set-up and break down work station using proper sanitation
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Complete safety training and sanitation certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Ability to work existing schedule including some evenings and weekends
Assist in the preparation of and design of food menus; producing high quality meals in both design and taste.
Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
Assist the Executive Chef in training and continuing education of line cooks
Partners with the Executive Chef in ordering food and supplies to meet forecasted demand
Comply with and enforce sanitation and food safety regulations
What You Bring to the Table:
ServSafe certification (or equivalent)
2+ years of line cook experience
Proficient culinary knife skills
Experience with various cooking methods
What Makes You Unique:
Previous experience as a lead line cook or equivalent
Experience in pastry / baking
