Highway Maintenance Worker

General Statement of Duties:

Performs duties as assigned by the Highway Superintendent

Performs routine construction, maintenance, and repair activities

Operates a variety of vehicles, heavy equipment, and power tools

Installs and maintains signs and other traffic control devices

Supervisory Responsibilities:

As delegated by the Highway Superintendent

Minimum Qualifications:

Has work experience with highway construction, heavy equipment or maintenance activities

Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor

Ability to follow written or verbal instructions

Other Requirements:

A valid Commercial Drivers License is mandatory within 60 days of hiring.

Must have a valid Drivers License

Skill in the safe operation of complex motorized equipment
