Job Overview:We are seeking a reliable and efficient Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly by keeping all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware clean and organized. This position is perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented, hard-working, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Key Responsibilities:- Collect Used Kitchenware: Gather used dishes, glassware, utensils, and other kitchenware from both the dining and kitchen areas.- Load and Unload Dishwashers: Efficiently load and unload dishwashing machines, ensuring all items are cleaned thoroughly.- Hand-Wash Specific Items: Wash delicate or large items such as wooden cutting boards, and large pots by hand when necessary to maintain their quality.- Store Clean Dishes and Equipment: Ensure that all cleaned dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment are properly stored in designated areas for easy access.- Set Up Workstations: Prepare and set up workstations before meal preparation begins, ensuring all necessary tools and utensils are available for kitchen staff.- Ensure Sufficient Clean Dishes: Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils available, especially during peak hours.- Maintain Stock of Cleaning Supplies: Monitor and maintain the stock of cleaning supplies (e.g., detergents, sponges, etc.) and place orders when necessary.- Monitor Dishwasher Operation: Check the operation of dishwashing machines regularly and promptly report any technical or performance issues to the supervisor.- Remove Garbage: Remove garbage from kitchen and dining areas regularly and dispose of it in designated waste bins.- Sanitize the Kitchen: Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and dishwashing stations, to meet health and safety standards.Qualifications:- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred but not required.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.- Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.- Positive attitude and a team player.Physical Requirements:- Ability to work in a kitchen environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.- Capable of bending, lifting, and carrying dishes and equipment.- Ability to tolerate heat, humidity, and the physical demands of the kitchen.Benefits:- Competitive pay and paid time off.- Employee meal discounts.- Opportunity for growth and advancement.
