Hotel June is seeking a motivated, service-driven PM Kitchen Supervisor to assist in oversight of the Heart of House within our two signature outlets and bars. Inspired by the soul and spirit of California, Scenic Route and Caravan Swim Club offer vibrant food and drink for hotel guests and the local community. This ideally located 250-room re-imagined Hotel on the Westside with two restaurants, creative event venues, and a spectacular pool deck is the flagship of a new thoughtful, accessible, lifestyle brand from Proper Hospitality. The ideal candidate will have an excellent record of kitchen and staff supervision. Experience in a full-service restaurant is required. Must have evening availability.

Overview:

The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel’s kitchen to ensure food is prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role supports the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager by supervising kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and helping manage food inventory and costs. The Kitchen Supervisor plays a key part in delivering a top-tier dining experience for hotel guests.

Responsibilities

  • Running the line and ensuring quality service
  • Assist in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess colleague performance
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standard
  • Communicating clearly with managers, kitchen and front of house staff
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Supervisor or Lead Line Cook
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • BS degree in culinary science or related certificate would be a plus
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification
