We are looking for an experience and driven Facility Operation Technician to oversee and elevate the performance, safety, and functionality of our facility operations.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the daily shipping and receiving activities for laboratory operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure proper handling and storage of materials and supplies.
  • Assist with laboratory operations, including operating the autoclave and performing glass washing to maintain clean and sterile equipment.
  • Support lab personnel with routine operational tasks as needed.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in designated areas, including offices, laboratories, and common spaces, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensure waste disposal is conducted in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in the setup, breakdown, and support of company events, including arranging furniture, equipment, and other logistical needs.
  • Provide on-site assistance during events to ensure smooth operations and address any immediate needs.
  • Conduct regular facilities tours and inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Report and document any discrepancies or issues observed during inspections.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shipping receiving, facilities management, operations, or a related role is preferred.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, janitorial services, event setup, or vendor management is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to respond to after-hours and on-call duties as needed.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
