VACO is looking for a skilled Front Desk Receptionist who exhibits superior customer service in all communication with customers as the initial point of contact.

- Greets visitors at the front in a professional manner.
- Respond timely to requests and inquiries. Responds to calls, emergencies, and alarms.
- Answer phone, distribute mail and prepare email and regular mail.
- Verify phone and voice mail systems are working properly.
- Assists with the investigation of accidents, incidents, or similar occurrences.
- Maintain a key sign-in/out log for outside vendors.
- Update various databases, spreadsheets, and directories.
- Monitors building access controls and video systems. Works closely with Facilities Technician relating to daily lock and unlock procedures; building activities; and responding to emergency calls.
- Assists with annual fire drills at headquarters.
- Provide backup support to Administrative Services and other areas of the department as assigned.

- Two to three years in the capacity of a front desk position.
