Valet Attendant

The Valet Attendant is responsible for parking and delivering casino patrons vehicles to and from the casino or hotel entrance. Valet Attendants are responsible for the safety of customers vehicles at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides superior customer service, positively interacts with customers and Team Members; has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and has the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers
  • Safely park and retrieve vehicle, follow key handling procedures, and follow all safety guidelines
  • Completes vehicle inspections including checking for damage and recording vehicle details on claim ticket
  • Keep valet area clean, organized, and presentable at all times
  • Accommodate guests by opening doors and assisting with luggage or other heavy items
  • Assists with traffic flow and ensure the safety of the parking area
  • Answers the telephone and takes messages as appropriate, adheres to proper telephone etiquette
  • Maintains key control within department
  • Knowledgeable of all hotel amenities
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
  • Functions as Bell Person as needed or requested
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must qualify for company insurance coverage
  • Clear driving record required. No major violations, (DUI, reckless driving, driving on suspended), no accidents and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Experience in driving both automatic and standard type transmission vehicles
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
  • Must be able to work independently and function as a member of a team
  • A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

Preferred

  • High School graduate or equivalent

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach
  • Must have close visual acuity in order to operate equipment
  • Must be able to work outdoors under conditions ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (golf bag) and frequently up to 20 lbs using proper lifting techniques
