Banquet Captain

The Spokane Club is seeking a polished, professional Banquet Captain to serve as the face of our catered events and work alongside our Banquet Captain led. This highly visible front-of-house position requires an exceptional candidate who embodies our Club's standards of elegance and service excellence while leading flawless event execution.

• Event Leadership : Supervise setup, execution, and breakdown for events ranging from intimate gatherings of 2 to grand celebrations of 500 guests
• Team Management : Lead and supervise wait staff, ensuring proper uniforms and exceptional guest service
• Quality Control : Oversee table decorations, food presentation, and service execution to Club standards
• Kitchen Coordination : Act as liaison with Chef and culinary team regarding timelines and service requirements
• Multi-Venue Operations : Manage events across nine diverse catering spaces with varying requirements
• Guest Relations : Ensure seamless service delivery and handle special requests with professionalism
• Standards Maintenance : Uphold food and beverage service standards, wine service protocols, and guest etiquette

Required:

• Minimum 2 years banquet/catering experience in full-service facility, resort, or hotel
• High school diploma (college/culinary degree preferred)
• Valid Washington State Food & Beverage Permit
• Class 12 or 13 Alcohol Server Permit
• Deep knowledge of wine varieties, proper service techniques, and pairing principles
• Physical ability to lift 30 lbs and perform constant standing, walking, bending, and reaching
