Maintenance Worker, 2nd shift

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Kenosha County is looking for a full-time MaintenanceWorker to help keep Brookside Care Center and Willowbrook AssistedLiving facilities safe and clean for residents and staff. Reporting tothe Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Worker performs a variety oftasks in the care of the buildings, equipment, and grounds. If you arean energetic, self-motivated individual who likes to work a second shiftschedule performing custodial duties and light maintenance in a skillednursing facility, this could be the opportunity for you! Duties include:Performs normal custodial tasks such as removing trash; sweeping,mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors; carpet extraction;cleaning washrooms, cleaning mirrors, filling hand soap/papertowel/toilet paper Performs grounds maintenance activities such as trashpickup and snow/ice removal Checks and records status of air handlers,air conditioners, and boilers Repairs sinks, showers, toilets, and rodsout drain lines Performs basic repairs to furniture and equipment suchas patient beds and wheelchairs Replaces light bulbs and ballastsChanges filters and belts and greases motors on air handlers or pumpsCleans coils on air conditioning units Inspects generators and elevatorsFills in as role of Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper duringstaffing shortages Inspects and maintains lawn and snow equipmentChanges door handles, hinges, openers, and lock cores Performs otherwork as required or assigned Join our team and help make a difference inKenosha County! \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: SuccessFactors Knowledge of the chemicals and tools used for cleaning and thenecessary tools used to complete the task at hand Skill in operation andgeneral maintenance of outdoor equipment such as snow blowers, snowpushers, and Bobcat Knowledge of the Building Automation System, A/C\'s,air handlers, and boilers Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical,carpentry, drywall, and painting Skill in operation of buildingmaintenance equipment Skill in safe work practices in a highly regulatedskilled nursing environment Ability to follow oral and writteninstructions Ability to exercise good judgement Ability to use computersoftware, including Microsoft Office Outlook (email and calendarfunctions), Word, Excel, and Internet navigation Ability to use a smartphone (Android or Apple) Ability to effectively work to support acustomer-service, team-oriented, continuous-improvement facilitiesmaintenance environment Ability to work efficiently and independentlywhile using a variety of tools and in access-challenged work conditionsto perform necessary preventative maintenance tasks Ability totroubleshoot equipment, identify issue root-cause, and solve problemsAbility to effectively communicate with building occupants aboutmaintenance activities that may impact their work area Ability to remainprofessional and courteous at all times Ability to work respectfully ina diverse and inclusive environment Physical Demands The physicaldemands described here are representative of those that must be met byan employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals withdisabilities to perform the essential functions.
