Cook - Westgate Gardens Care Center Visalia, CA Competitive Pay Full-Time / Part-Time Westgate Gardens Care Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our dietary team. We are a skilled nursing facility focused on resident care, comfort, and quality of lifeand that starts with delicious, nutritious meals. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of meals in large quantities based on pre-set menus. Accurately follow portion control guides and special diet requirements (e.g., pureed meals). Ensure food temperatures are properly recorded and documented. Keep kitchen and cooking areas clean, safe, and sanitary at all times. Assist with meal service and maintain attractive food presentation. Maintain proper sanitization (e.g., quaternary solutions in sanitizer buckets). Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. Participate in staff orientation and training. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of experience cooking in a hospital or long-term care setting. ServSafe certification required (or must be obtained upon hire). Ability to read and follow recipes, meal plans, and special dietary needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
