Parks Maintenance Worker (Part Time)

Under general supervision, the Parks Maintenance Worker performs a varietyof tasks to construct and maintain parks, forests, trails and/orcemeteries for the City of Ca on City.Range of duties include:Performs grounds maintenance, landscaping, and tree maintenance tasksin city parks, cemetery, and rights-of-way.Picks up litter, removes trash, rakes leaves, clears brush,operates irrigation systems, and mows grass.Inspects and samples trees, plants, and grass for insect or diseaseproblems. Applies herbicides and pesticides to control weeds and insects.Performs rough carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks to install,repair, and maintain irrigation systems.Cleans, repairs, and maintains public buildings, facilities,parks, public restrooms, campgrounds, recreational facilities, and cemetery.Operates equipment such as trimmers, mowers, sprayers, powerrakes, aerators, snow plows, trash compactors, dump trucks,loaders, trenchers, chippers, and chain saws to improve, maintain,and repair parks, trails, and/or cemeteries and to plant, prune, orremove treeNOTE: This job announcement is not intended to include a complete listing ofall requirements associated with the position.
