Winter's seeks a friendly, talented, mature, responsible industry professional with a genuine desire to deliver great guest experiences for this key position on our small, close-knit team.

We are passionate about what we do and we are looking for a like-minded, enthusiastic team player who is dedicated to their craft and who will share our aim of making Winter's the best Jazz club in Chicago.

This position will likely average 2-4 shifts/week. The position is as a bartender/server. We are seeking someone who will cross-train as a bartender and server and work at either position as needed. Consistent availability required and some Sunday availability strongly desired.

Were looking for an experienced and proven cocktail bartender/server who thrives on high-volume nights while remaining cool under pressure. Of course, preparing and serving great drinks quickly is only a portion of the role. We seek a team member who understands that he/she is an ambassador of the establishment, someone who truly enjoys the interaction of serving patrons who love Live Jazz. Because were such a small team, it is essential that we maintain a friendly and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with customers, taking orders, and preparing and serving drinks.
  • Assessing customer needs and preferences and making recommendations.
  • Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.
  • Staying guest-focused and nurturing an excellent guest experience.
  • Keeping the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
  • Accurately recording and entering all beverage items into the Square POS system
  • Checking guest identification to avoid serving alcoholic beverages to underage guests

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3 years of Bartender experience; some high-volume is required
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, classic cocktails, and modern techniques is required
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Relevant training certificate; Basset-certified
  • Ability to work a typical hospitality schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
A background check is required. Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($11.02) plus tips
