Upscale Restaurant Chef (Sous Chef)

Chevy Chase Club is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our upscale dining team. This is a working Sous Chef position, requiring both strong leadership and hands-on culinary skills to maintain the highest standards in our kitchen. Our professional culinarians take pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while working in a dynamic and prestigious environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff to ensure excellence in food preparation and presentation.
  • Assist in menu development, menu engineering, and accurate costings to optimize quality and cost control.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and plating while upholding safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management team to enhance the dining experience for members and guests.

Successful candidates will possess previous experience in a leadership or management role within an upscale restaurant or private club setting. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in menu planning, food costing, ordering, and inventory management and their ability to combine hands-on culinary skills with a passion for excellence in food preparation & presentation. Strong product knowledge and the ability to foster a positive and professional fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment while maintaining composure and efficiency are essential.

Starting salary ranges from $65000. - $75000. depending on experience. Benefits include, but are not limited to, paid vacation, 401k, health, dental and vision insurance.
