Are you passionate about maintaining impeccable standards in culinary support and cleanliness? We're seeking a Lead Steward to oversee and elevate the Stewarding Department at Chevy Chase Club.
Position Overview:
The Lead Steward will take charge of the daily operations, providing guidance, structure, and cohesion for the Stewarding Department. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Lead Steward will ensure all kitchen and back-of-house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. This role also includes maintaining food and beverage equipment throughout the Club to support our Culinary Team's excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Coordination: Oversee and allocate work areas, ensuring daily tasks are clearly communicated and managed among the stewarding team.
Team Development: Counsel, coach, and provide performance feedback to foster team growth and efficiency.
Financial Oversight: Manage the Stewarding Department's budget, overseeing labor and supply costs to ensure financial responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a stewarding or kitchen management role
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team cohesion and development
- Financial acumen to manage budgets effectively
- Commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols
