The General Maintenance Technician services and repairs in two or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures under the direct supervision of a qualified technician as needed. Estimates time and material costs of various projects. Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities
Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and daily business operations, as well as special projects.
Performs maintenance and repair tasks on company assets
Perform PM work as assigned
Basic skills or knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, dry wall, painting, electrical, fire suppression, welding.
Perform Daily rounds for building checks
Assist with critical system operations, UPS, Generator, Robotics, HVAC, and Fire Safety Equipment
Ability to work efficiently with little direction
Work with outside vendors for maintenance and upgrades to facility
Be able to be on call for emergencies
Assist with meeting setups and special projects
Work with trade technicians to complete assigned tasks
Must be willing to work both Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) and Evening Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) (Typical Schedules)
Qualifications
Valid Florida driver's license
Trade certifications preferred
Must have previous maintenance experience and or training
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver 100 lbs.
Follow all Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
Candidates must commit to follow all established safety protocols and use provided PPE
Computer experience necessary and ability to work with IWMS ,MS word and Excel
Basic skills or knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, dry wall, painting, electrical, fire suppression, welding.
Must be comfortable with the use of a mobile device, specifically for tracking and management of daily tasks.
Effective written communication skills with demonstrated ability to document accomplishments, complete necessary reports & records, etc.
Must be able to work from ladders or personnel lifts at various heights.
Be able to be on call for emergencies with a rotating schedule
Some travel may be required
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in department and from other departments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible
