Custodian

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of a building and facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning, mopping, and vacuuming offices.
• Cleaning and mopping breakroom.
• Cleaning and mopping bathrooms.
• Cleaning and sweeping factory areas.
• Restocking paper products.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Previous work experience as a janitor or custodian, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
• Attention to detail important.
• Understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to interact with others.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, lift, carry objects, and climb.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Work is performed in a shop environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• There is occasional exposure to extreme cold or hot conditions.
• There is frequent exposure to constant loud sounds sufficient to cause distraction.
