Maintenance Engineer Job Description The role of a Mobile Engineer involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across multiple locations. You will demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area, such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, while being multi-skilled in others. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to uphold facility and building standards. Travel between multiple facilities to ensure their proper function. Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency. Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels. Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment. Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace. Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors. Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas, and recognizing dangers and safety hazards while proposing methods to eliminate them. Essential Skills High School Diploma or Equivalent 2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems Ability to analyze and operate various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems to determine the cause of problems/malfunctions and take corrective action EPA 608 Type II Certification Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel Valid driver's license Additional Skills & Qualifications EPA 608 Universal Certification Two years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC Why Work Here? Work Environment This full-time role operates from Monday to Friday, with typical hours ranging from 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM, and some flexibility available. Emergency on-call duties may be required. Work is conducted at various Church locations referred to as Meetinghouse locations, with no smoking or coffee allowed on property. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bremerton, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
