About the Role:
Were looking for a full-time Cook to join our culinary team at Camp Baker. This isnt your typical kitchen job its a unique opportunity for someone who loves to cook and wants to be part of something deeply meaningful. Youll work in an open kitchen, often interacting with campers and staff. Its a role that requires not just culinary skill, but heart, patience, and a genuine desire to serve.
What Youll Do:
Prepare and cook meals that are kid- and adult-friendly, nutritious, and accommodating of various dietary needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen space that meets health department standards.
Work closely with the culinary team to ensure timely and consistent meal service for campers and staff.
Engage respectfully and positively with campers of all abilities being part of their day brings joy to them and to you.
Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and basic kitchen operations.
Who You Are:
An experienced cook (2+ years preferred) with a love for scratch-made, wholesome food.
Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure you know how to keep the kitchen humming.
A team player who can also take initiative and work independently.
Comfortable interacting with individuals with disabilities and have the empathy, patience, and awareness this setting requires.
Food safety certified or willing to complete certification upon hire.
