Requirements
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Dietary, assist with the general set-up of and production of meal service for visitors, staff and patients.
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent, as recognized by an approved government accreditation association, or have taken the SHRM TAC basic reading and math placement tests with a passing score.
Maintains current Food Handlers Certification from the AAA or other approved educational programs. New hires to obtain upon hire.
Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
Ability to follow verbal and/or written directions and follow standardized recipes.
Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, reach, kneel and stretch using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.
Required to have the mental and physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
Minimum one (1) year of hospital, institutional, or restaurant cooking experience to include food preparation
Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
Basic knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement, development and support methods and practices.
Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency
