Function:Coordinate, and perform the activities of the housekeeping program to ensure the facility is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition. Follow all policies and procedures on the Environmental Services department.Responsibilities:Assures that all items needed to perform job responsibilities are available and in working orderEnsures daily, the neatness and cleanliness of residents rooms, living rooms, dining areas and common areas including but not limited to rooms and equipment including: furniture, tubs, utility rooms.Assist in maintaining appropriate inventories of supplies and equipment for the facility.Inspects and maintains cleanliness of the resident rooms, dining room areas, hallways and bathrooms, etc.Notify supervisor when items are needed or are not in compliance with the policies of the facility.Maintains compliance to the residents rights.Qualifications:Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to the Environmental Services department.Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 6 experience.**Communication Skills:** Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and the publicMathematical Skills:Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers, calculate percentage of whole, measure product in large quantities. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume.Reasoning Ability: Ability to define and solve problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in statistical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Support ServicesAssures that all housekeeping and laundry tasks are completed.Carries out all duties in accordance with the facility mission and philosophy.Demonstrates honesty and integrity in the care and use of resident and facility property.Assures that all Residents requests are completed in a timely manner.Able to carry out the essential functions of this job.Maintain housekeeping/laundry equipment is in working orderConducts scheduled weekly cleaning audits.Compliant with all Federal and State regulations concerning blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials and fire safetyCooperates, with other departments to identify and accommodate individual resident need and preferences.Perform other duties as assigned.**Resident Rights:** Promotes residents rights, assists residents to make informed decisions, treats residents with dignity and respect, reports suspected abuse or neglect, and supports independent expression, choice and decision-making.**Leadership**: Demonstrates willingness to communicate and discuss potential risk areas to appropriate manager; generates new ideas for change; evaluates and recognizes priorities, selects effective team members, challenges others to learn, keeps current and integrates new information, communicates and models organization values, fosters high performance, recognizes need for and provides adequate resources.**Quality Improvement:** Applies QI principles, tools, and techniques; assists in data collections; identifies processes for improvement in daily work; educates
