If you are passionate about therestaurant industry, energetic, and possess the ability to providesuperior service, Mason Street Grill is in search of a part time Host.As a Host at Mason Street you will be responsible for greeting andescorting guests to tables as well as maintaining a courteous andefficient operation of the dining room to ensure superior guestsatisfaction. Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become alocal favorite for delicious steak, hand-crafted cocktails, and jazzmusic. In addition to great food and drinks - we also have exceptionalservice you can\'t find anywhere else. At Mason Street, we want to serveexperiences. Whether it\'s the upbeat aromas, the background sounds oflive music, or the taste of a refreshing cocktail after a long day atwork, we want to make sure that our guests\' time spent with us willbring them back again and again. What you will be doing: Receive,record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and specialfunctions in the restaurant. Meet and greet guests as they arrive.Ensure even distribution of tables for each server. Verbally communicateto server the table number sat and the number of guests. Escort gueststo tables, hand them menus, wine list, and inform guests of specials.Beverage table if needed and/or time allows. Clean and display propermenus before, during, and after shift. Assist with all to-go orders.Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed and perform other duties asassigned per Manager. What we are looking for: Prior restaurantexperience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Flexibleschedule preferred. Ability to effectively deal with customer complaintsand concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listeningto the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customerand providing positive and proactive solutions. Ability to read, speak,and write the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests,memos, and reservations. Maintain a clean environment and ensure area isalways organized. Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety ofmenu items. Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests.Ability to multi-task. What\'s in it for you?
