Now Hiring: Industrial Custodian & Forklift Operator

Location: Northeast Houston | Full-Time Opportunity

Openwork is currently hiring a reliable and motivated Industrial Custodian & Forklift Operator to join a leading industrial facility in Northeast Houston. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment that supports smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, including production floors, equipment areas, restrooms, and break rooms

Operate a forklift to assist with sanitation and material handling tasks

Sanitize surfaces, windows, and machinery exteriors

Degrease machinery and equipment as needed to support safe and efficient operation

Regularly empty trash, recycling containers, and hoppers

Promptly remove debris and address spills to ensure a safe, organized work environment

Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs

Adhere to all safety protocols and use cleaning equipment correctly

Follow directions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with team members

Support general labor functions as required

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years or more of recent industrial or commercial cleaning experience

Must have industrial forklift experience

Comfortable working in environments with dust, noise, and fluctuating temperatures

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude

Schedule & Pay:

Monday - Friday / 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
