Primary Objective of Dining Room Server Position
To provide quality service to hotel restaurant guests by providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable food and beverage service.
Responsibilities
Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Reviews menu with diners, suggesting dinner courses, appropriate wines, and answering questions regarding food and cocktail preparations.
Enters orders accurately in POS and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
Observes diners to fulfill any additional request and to perceive when meal has been completed.
Presents bill and processes payment
Replenishes supplies and prepares for the next meal.
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds. The employee may be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise is usually moderate to loud.
