Full-Time Market Host at HEX Superette

We showcase the best of local and artisan goodsfrom ferments and cheeses to produce and pantry staplesand provide a gathering space for neighbors and newcomers to connect over food and drink.

Were looking for a skilled, motivated Market Host to join our small, collaborative team. This dynamic, guest-facing role blends hospitality, retail, and occasional bar support. Its perfect for someone experienced in food service or retail who thrives in a shared, purpose-driven environment.

What Youll Do:
Guest Experience & Service
Offer warm, knowledgeable service in our dining area
Share thoughtful food and product recommendations
Greet guests, answer questions, and support pickups
Represent HEX Superettes mission with care and pride

Market Operations:
Place and receive vendor and distributor orders
Manage inventory and restock shelves throughout the day
Enter new products into our POS system
Help keep the market clean, organized, and well-merchandised
Provide table service for guests

Bar & Kitchen Support (Occasional):
Assist with beverage service when needed
Support prep, cleanup, and restocking
Maintain shared workspaces and follow food safety standards

What Were Looking For:
2+ years in food service, retail, or hospitality (inventory experience a plus!)
Confident with table service and guest interaction
Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
Comfortable using POS systems (we use Shopify)
Passionate about fermented foods, local sourcing, and seasonal ingredients
A reliable teammate whos quick to pitch in, tidy up, and help wherever needed
Weekend and some evening availability required
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
