Cook/Line Prep For Food Truck & Restaurant 3 Year Experience

We're a busy but fun Vietnamese restaurant, Phowheels, based in Burtonsville, MD. We also operate a food truck that circulates the D.C, NVA, MD region.

POSITION:
Food line prep, cook and dishwasher for food truck/drive-through/dine in restaurant.
Looking for someone with a great attitude and work ethic; must be able to work in a very fast pace environment. 3 year minimum of food prep experience required.
*MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVENING; Our priority is someone available to work 4pm-10pm .
Other shifts available: full day shifts - 8am-10pm.

Looking for someone who is flexible between working at the store and food truck events some hours.

LOCATION:
Burtonsville, MD

PAY:
$15-$18 per hour (depending on years of experience)

FULL TIME HOURS and PART TIME HOURS
Must be available during some weekends.

LINE PREP/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up/clean-up before/after service
- Line-prep
- Kitchen and food preparation (fry, grill, cold/kitchen prep)
- Direct interaction with customers
- Handling of cash register/ POS system
- Able to follow instructions thoroughly and independently
- Able to float between restaurant and food truck events

COOK RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing and cooking food in a fast-paced kitchen environment, following recipes, and ensuring quality and consistency of dishes, dishwashing. They also contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
-Work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work in a hot environment, the food truck gets really hot inside during the summer. You are responsible for staying hydrated.
-Outstanding customer service and communication skills
-Punctual, reliable, self-motivated, great attitude are ALL A MUST
-Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
-Perform other duties as assigned
-Speak and understand minimal English is a plus

PREFERENCES:
- At least 3 years of restaurant or similar hospitality experience
- MD/VA/DC Food Handlers Certificate is a Plus
- Resume with references preferred
- Have valid driver's license but not required
- Subject to a background check and employment references

ABLE TO SPEAK SPANISH IS A PLUS !!! NO INGLES IS OK. Pero deberia poder entender algo de ingles. El pago es W2 o 1099 empleado. Sin pagos en efectivo.

PAGO:
$15-$18 por hora (segun anos de experiencia)

PUESTO: Preparacion de linea de alimentos, cocinero y lavaplatos para food truck/auto-servicio/restaurante con servicio a domicilio. Se busca a alguien con excelente actitud y etica de trabajo; debe ser capaz de trabajar en un entorno de ritmo acelerado. Se requiere un minimo de 3 anos de experiencia en preparacion de alimentos.

*DEBE ESTAR DISPONIBLE PARA TRABAJAR POR LA NOCHE; Nuestra prioridad es alguien disponible para trabajar de 16:00 a 22:00.

Otros turnos disponibles: jornada completa de 8:00 a 22:00.

Se busca a alguien con flexibilidad horaria entre trabajar en la tienda y en eventos de food trucks.

RESPONSABILIDADES DE CAJERO/PREPARACIoN DE LINEA:
-Configuracion/limpieza antes/despues del servicio
-Preparacion de linea
-Cocina y preparacion de alimentos (freir, grill, frio/preparacion de cocina)
-Interaccion directa con los clientes.
-Manejo de caja registradora/sistema POS
-Capaz de seguir instrucciones completa e independientemente

RESPONSABILIDADES DEL COCINERO:
Preparar y cocinar alimentos en un ambiente de cocina dinamico, siguiendo recetas y garantizando la calidad y consistencia de los platos. Tambien contribuyen a mantener un espacio de trabajo limpio y organizado, cumpliendo con las normas de seguridad alimentaria y saneamiento.

REQUISITOS DE CALIFICACION PARA EL TRABAJO:
-Trabaje en un entorno acelerado
- Ser capaz de trabajar en un ambiente caluroso, el camion de comida hace mucho calor en el interior durante el verano. Usted es responsable de mantenerse hidratado.
-Excelente servicio al cliente y habilidades de comunicacion.
-Puntual, confiable, auto-motivado, gran actitud son TODOS IMPRESCINDIBLES
-Capacidad para levantar 40-50 libras
-Realizar otras tareas que le sean asignadas
-Hablar y entender un minimo de ingles es una ventaja.

PREFERENCIAS:
- Al menos 3 anos de experiencia en restaurante u hospitalidad similar
- El certificado de manipuladores de alimentos MD/VA/DC es un Plus
- Curriculum con referencias preferible
-Tener licencia de conducir vigente pero no requerida
