The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary and efficient condition. Troubleshooting and repair of equipment or systems falls to maintenance departments. Preventative maintenance activities keep plant in top operating shape.

• Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices in all duties of this position.
• Maintain full compliance with internal policies regarding safety and confidentiality
• Ability to work well with the team and work well independently with minimal supervision
• Successfully interact with colleagues across all disciplines in the plant
• Support QC and Production as required to maintain and improve operations
• Maintain a clean working area and assist with sanitation of maintenance equipment
• Perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, overhauls and troubleshooting on production equipment
• Fabricate and weld parts, supports, or improvements to production equipment as process requires
• Maintain and support all safety practices / polices. Utilize safe work practices and procedures
• Communicate necessary scheduled repairs and improvement opportunities
• Understand, communicate, and support organizations goals and how impact can be made
• Work on CMMS as necessary to ensure work is done timely.
• Daily shift monitoring and communication with production for equipment operation.
• Performs projects assigned by supervisor
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Food Processing Experience is a plus
• Mechanical Aptitude, and general mathematical ability a must
• Methodical work ethic and proficiency in mechanical work
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Multi-tasking and work balance understanding
• Must have demonstrated abilities in written and oral communication
• The person in this position must have ability to prioritize, follow-through on multiple tasks and work in a safe, efficient manner, abiding by all safety related policies and procedures
