Seeking an experienced server to join our team at PDX's premiere board game store and restaurant!
About Us: Mox Boarding House is the premiere gathering place for friends and family to tabletop gaming experiences alongside meticulously-crafted food and beverages. We off a uniquebination of an expansive retail store and a full-service restaurant, all within a beautifully designed and intentionally crafted space. As a member of the Card Kingdom family, we proudly served our localmunities for over 20 years and are excited to wee new members to our team.
As a member of our restaurant team, you ll play a vital role in creating memorable dining and gaming experiences for our guests. Each Mox location offers a distinctive atmosp, with dining options throughout our dining room, retail space, tournament hall, and themed private rooms.
Our Mission: We use tabletop gaming as a campfire a gathering place w people connect, , and celebrate. We are dedicated to creatingmunity through food and gaming while cultivating deeper relationships with our guests, our team, ourmunities, and the world.

Role: Our servers are tasked with delivering exceptional customer service and a rich customer experience around gaming and creative play in addition to enjoying quality food and craft beverages. Due to the pace of our experiential service, our servers tend to operate large sections. General functions include guest interaction, coffee and beverage preparation, and food and beverage delivery; all while maintaining a clean working environment and friendly disposition. Following our standards and steps of service, our servers play an integral role in ensuring that our guest experience is unmatched.
Responsibilities:
Ensure our guests have an outstanding restaurant experience by providing prompt, quality service with guests best interests in mind.
Maintain our quality standards by fully adhering to our steps and standards of service, operational guidelines, and FOH standards for guest experience.
Ad to our policies and guidelines while demonstrating the ability to remain agile during unforeseen circumstances.
Ensure all food and beverage is delivered to our guests by specification.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of full-service restaurant operations with at least five years of experience in a customer-facing restaurant role.
Must have the requisite food handling permit and a thorough knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling practices.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining a strong focus on guest experience and the ability to build relationships and create positive experiences.
Ability to thoroughly learn our menus and troubleshoot guest queries with ease.
Possess a strongmitment to quality service and a dedication to furthering knowledge within hospitality.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
