Part-Time Housekeeper (Family-Oriented Household) Location: Evanston, Illinois Start Date: June 23, 2025 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5 hours per day, 25 hours/week gauranteed Ideal Hours: 8:00AM - 1:00PM or 9:00AM - 2:00PM or 7:00AM - 12:00AM (candidates choice) Salary Range: $30.00 - $40.00/hour, $39,000-$52,000 annual (based on experience) About the Family: A warm, loving, and active family with two young children (ages 4 and 2), a large Labrador, and a cat. Both parents work from home and are involved in daily household routines. Home environment is calm during the day but lively and kid-centered in the mornings and evenings. Family values communication, reliability, and mutual respect in all relationships. Position Overview: Family is seeking a kind, dependable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the home. This is primarily a household role, with minimal childcare or pet care responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Laundry: wash, fold, and put away plus linens weekly Kitchen cleaning including: dishes load, unload, and put away Weekly household sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting Bathroom cleaning Light tidying of children's play areas Occasional grocery shopping and unpacking Meal prep: simple lunches and dinners for children Occasional dog walking and light child supervision (only if needed) Organizing Ideal Candidate Attributes: Kind, positive, and self-motivated Comfortable with pets, including large dogs Experienced with general household chores Proactive and communicative Reliable and punctual Comfortable around young children, though primary duties are not childcare-related Ability to drive is a plus, but not required Compensation & Benefits: Annual salary: $39,000-$52,000 (based on experience) 5 paid sick/personal days 5 paid vacation days (plus additional time off when the family is traveling) 5 paid holidays Reimbursement for mileage (if applicable) $200.00 monthly Health/Wellness stipend Opportunity for a long-term, stable position with a supportive family Required Qualifications: Age: Candidates must be at least 21 years old. Experience: Related work experience is required along with verifiable references. Candidates may have a broad range of experience, but it MUST pertain to the position you are applying for. Driving Record: A driver's license is required for most positions and a motor vehicle investigation is completed prior to placement. Criminal Background: A criminal background investigation is completed on all candidates prior to placement. Residency Requirement: All candidates must furnish proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work as a legal alien. Commitment: Typically, candidates must be willing to commit for at least 1 year with a family. Occasionally, temporary and summer placements are requested.
