Join us as a Maintenance Mechanic II This position works undergeneral supervision and is primarily responsible for maintaining,troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing production equipment andmachinery. Assist with maintenance of building facilities as requestedby management. In this role you\'ll make an impact by: Maintaining thecondition of the production and facility equipment as per stateregulations. Ensuring optimum operation of all production equipment andmachinery by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing any problems ina timely manner. Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all buildingsystems and their components, including lighting, HVAC, productionwastewater system, steam, compressed air, hot and cold water systems,electrical, foam system, and all similar systems located throughout thefacility. Completing all required computer logs and paperwork. Tosucceed you must hold: Ability to read, write and speak English. Abilityto apply basic mathematical concepts including conversion of weight andvolume in the metric system. Basic knowledge of boiler plantfundamentals, HVAC operations and troubleshooting. Ability to read andfollow basic building diagrams and schematics. Possess a workingknowledge of computers with an ability to operate basic controls forequipment operation. Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer,screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment. Shouldbe a self-starter that can prioritize their workday and function withminimal direct supervision. Ability to communicate effectively withco-workers regarding the status of a mechanical project. Must be amember of the First Aid Team/Safety Committee and a Fire ProtectionMonitor. Must maintain a valid drivers license and forklift license.Travel may be required up to 25% of the time. These characteristics arenormally acquired through a High school diploma or GED, with one-yearcertificate from a technical school, and 1 to 3 years related experienceCould our purpose be yours?
