Gr8 Plate Hospitality is Accepting Applications for Restaurant Manager. Gr8Plate Hospitality Group is a privately held local Houston based restaurant group. Our concepts include The Union Kitchen, Passerella, Vine Memorial and Jax Grill.
A minimum of two years current Restaurant Management experience required.
Essential Functions & Expectations:
Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the culture.
Ensure that all guests feel wee and are given gracious and professional service at all times.
Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance.
Ad topany standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
Responsible for ensuring that all administrative duties arepleted accurately and on time in accordance withpany policies and procedures.
Ensurepliance with operational standards,pany policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
Always be informed and aware of what is being served in order to be ready to answer questions.
Develop guest relations and learn names and recognizing faces while handling requests,ments andplaints.
Maintain a regular presence and circulate freely during service periods to invitements and resolve any glitches as they occur.
Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
Conduct pre-shift meetings to motivate and keep staff informed.
Counsels, guides and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties and ensure strictpliance with established appearance standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience performing restaurant management responsibilities such as training and motivating new employees into a high-performing team and implementing new systems, policies, and procedures strongly preferred.
Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves - a good leader should be willing and able to do whatever he or she asks of their team!
Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Prior experience with accounting software, POS and payroll systems.
Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility and leadership.
