Now Hiring: Full-Time Evening Housekeeper

Location: Treasure Valley Hospital Schedule: Shifts range between 11:00 AM and 12:00 AM

Join our Environmental Services (EVS) team and make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting where your work truly matters. We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Evening Housekeeper to support our mission of providing exceptional care in a safe and sanitary environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and public areas throughout the facility.

  • Restock supplies, linens, and scrubs daily in designated areas.

  • Safely collect and dispose of general and medical waste, including Sharps containers, following strict infection control protocols.

  • Maintain floors, including tile and carpets, through regular and as-needed cleaning.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital sanitation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, The Joint Commission).

  • Assist in monthly deep cleaning of the Dietary Department in coordination with dietary staff.

  • Participate in department meetings and ongoing training.

  • Monitor and request replenishment of cleaning supplies, linens, and scrubs.

  • Track performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) to support service quality and improvement.

  • Follow all safety guidelines when working in high-risk or infectious areas.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Prior experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.

  • Understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and biohazard handling.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

  • Dependability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in Environmental Services (EVS), custodial work, or general maintenance required.

  • Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is strongly preferred.
