Kitchen Manager

As a Kitchen Manager at Traditions Hospitality Group, you'll be at the helm of our culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service in our full-service restaurant environment. With your leadership and expertise, you'll oversee kitchen staff, manage inventory, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance management, to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for food production and kitchen sanitation to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and dining areas, facilitating efficient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimize food and labor costs while maximizing profitability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain an ABLE liquor license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Gaming license (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospitality management position, preferably in a full-service restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, steam, and other kitchen hazards.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, and lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate restaurant operations.
