Short Term Employment Opportunity

June - September 2025

* **$18.50/hour starting pay – Eligible for Bonuses based on hours worked***

***Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm **

Summary of Position

The Application Specialist, Bilingual provides outstanding customer service in Spanish and English to both internal and external customers by professionally answering calls about telephonic applications for public assistance programs.

Essential Job Requirements
  • Answers telephone inquiries and responds to citizen inquiries related to the services they wish to apply for or are currently receiving
  • Accepts telephonic applications for public assistance programs
  • Screens applicants to determine if active case exists or application is pending
  • Uses multiple complex computer systems to research, validate, update, and maintain case information
  • Provides information to callers, including rights and responsibilities
  • Maintains accurate files, records, and reports to document communication, compliance, and resolution of issue
  • Fluently reads, writes, and speaks Spanish and English
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment
  • Data entry and typing experience. Must be able to type at least 20 WPM
