Distillery Janitor

Position Responsibilities: Perform general cleaning duties in common areas and distillery operations, such as vacuum, sweep, mop floor, empty trash, etc. Responsible for cleaning the mill: raking down and cleaning silos, cleaning in confined spaces such as, under the mill floor, under scales, and inside the grain silos. Help operations when there is a spill of any kind and haul away grain filled trash cans. Must be available for call-ins on nights, weekends and holidays if needed. Maintains inventory of cleaning materials and bathroom supplies. Maintains housekeeping around walkways and entrances. Must comply with company sanitation and safety policies. Responsible for completing Master Cleaning Schedule.

Minimum Requirements : Capable of operating various power cleaning equipment. Knowledge of good housekeeping and sanitation practice. Demonstrate reading comprehension and writing ability. Ability to work with little to no supervision following general verbal instructions. Able to lift and empty garbage containers filled with grain. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Must possess valid driver's license and be able to drive and operate a large vacuum truck. Must be able to work overtime and any shift as needed including holidays. Candidates must be willing to learn and capable of conforming to hygiene and sanitation requirements as described in the Brown-Forman Housekeeping and Sanitation Manual.
