Entry-Level (Foundational)

Work Experience Description:

Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Gateway- Island Buffet

Position Scope

  • Busses and resets tables.

  • Cleans up spills in assigned work area.

  • Interacts with guests by answering questions and addressing concerns.

Requirements

  • Must be in good health and be capable of a full range of body movement.

  • Must be able to lift, pull and push items weighing up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Must be able to communicate in English.

  • Should have a grammar school education.

  • No prior work experience necessary.

  • Must follow the University's Dress and Grooming Standards.

  • Preferably able to work during breaks.

Work Schedule

14 hours;

5:30 PM to 8:15 PM

Approximate starting hourly rate:

$14.00 - $16.00

The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.

  • All employees must follow the university's Dress and Grooming Standards.
  • Preferably able to work during breaks (except Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, EIL Mentors, and Tutors).
