Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leader in the food processing industry, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Lab Equipment Team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a self-directed team, and solid mechanical aptitude which will align successfully within the organization. **Job Title:** Facilities Maintenance Mechanic **Location:** Buffalo, NY **Pay Range:** $25/hour **What's the Job?** + Troubleshoot and diagnose all maintenance failures on lab equipment. + Perform annual preventative maintenance on all lab equipment. + Use assembly drawings, P&IDs, and manuals to tune equipment and solve problems using electrical and logic principles. + Maintain a safe and orderly work area according to GMP and lab safety guidelines. + Train new associates and team members on maintenance skills and assist with equipment operation during lab trials. **What's Needed?** + 3-5 years of experience in food processing or a related field with troubleshooting and repair of equipment. + Good communication skills and a team player. + General mechanical knowledge along with electrical and logic principles. + Basic plumbing and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge. + Ability to perform physically demanding tasks when required. **What's in it for me?** + Competitive pay at $25/hour. + Opportunity to work with advanced lab equipment and gain hands-on experience. + Collaborative team environment with training and vendor support. + Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm schedule. + Temporary-Permanent If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
