Janitor/Custodian Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team at a manufacturing facility. As a Janitor/Custodian, you will perform various custodial duties during your assigned shift. This includes tasks such as trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms, along with temporary cleanup of packaging and minor debris from ongoing construction. You will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision, ensuring the facility remains clean and orderly. All necessary equipment and supplies will be provided, and you will be responsible for notifying your supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. The role involves significant walking due to the large size of the facility, but the current level of cleanup is manageable as the facility is in its early stages of manufacturing. Responsibilities Perform custodial duties such as trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms. Handle temporary cleanup of packaging and minor debris from construction. Work independently with minimal supervision. Manage and replenish cleaning supplies as needed. Ensure the facility remains clean and orderly. Engage in significant walking due to the large facility size. Essential Skills Proficiency in cleaning, housekeeping, and janitorial duties. Experience in environmental services. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in janitorial or custodian roles, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Strong sense of daily task prioritization based on previous experience. Responsibility for maintaining facility cleanliness. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
