Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic will utilize hand and power tools to perform assembly and disassembly tasks. The role involves disassembling industrial-sized construction equipment such as ready mix trucks, excavators, drill rigs, cranes, and forklifts. Maintenance tasks include preventive maintenance (PM), rebuilds, tear downs, troubleshooting, motor swaps, and fuel pump rebuilds. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required, and work will take place both indoors in a shop and outdoors in the yard. Safety rules and practices must be followed and promoted at all times. Responsibilities Utilize hand and power tools for assembly and disassembly tasks. Disassemble industrial-sized construction equipment including ready mix trucks, excavators, drill rigs, cranes, and forklifts. Perform maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance, rebuilds, tear downs, troubleshooting, motor swaps, and fuel pump rebuilds. Lift up to 50 pounds safely. Work in both indoor shop and outdoor yard environments. Follow and promote safety rules and practices. Maintain cleanliness of the yard area to ensure a safe and workable environment. Report any storage, placement, or malfunction problems to the supervisor. Communicate discovered repair issues to the manager. Report to the Shop Manager for daily repair schedules. Assess necessary repairs to fleet vehicles. Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
