Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Georgetown, KY,KY,US

Mechanical Engineer The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Manager of Maintenance and be responsible for evaluating processes, implementing improvements, and designing/installing specialty equipment. This role supports continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing machines alongside technicians. Analyze equipment downtime to improve reliability and reduce costs. Design and develop equipment, tooling, automation, and processes. Conduct audits and lead process improvement efforts. Optimize workflow, space utilization, and equipment layout. Develop process documentation for quality and safety compliance. Train and support maintenance and production personnel. Coordinate pre-production trials, equipment buy-offs, and troubleshooting. Maintain production documentation and develop machine specifications. Provide on-site support for manufacturing operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. Strong technical knowledge of materials, tooling, and part fabrication. Proficiency in computer applications and process analysis. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This position requires working in an office with periodic visits to the shop floor.
