Industrial Maintenance Custodian
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of the Industrial Maintenance Custodian is to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the industrial facility both internally and externally. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized environment for employees and visitors. The Industrial Maintenance Custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the industrial facility, contributing to a safe and productive work environment for all occupants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleaning Offices, Bathrooms, Breakrooms, and Walls:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, bathrooms, and breakrooms.
Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
Wipe down countertops, tables, and chairs in breakrooms.
Dust and wipe walls and surfaces throughout the facility to maintain a tidy appearance.
External Cleaning:
Sweep and power wash exterior walkways, loading docks, and other designated areas to remove dirt, debris, and stains.
Clean exterior windows and doors to maintain a professional appearance.
Remove litter and debris from parking lots and surrounding areas.
Trash Pickup Throughout the Outside of the Facility:
Empty outdoor trash bins and dumpsters, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
Collect and dispose of litter from designated outdoor areas.
Monitor outdoor trash receptacles for overflow and address as needed.

Cleaning Techniques: Proficiency in various cleaning methods, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety protocols and procedures when working in an industrial environment, including handling cleaning chemicals safely and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Attention to Detail: Ability to notice and address cleanliness issues promptly, ensuring that all areas of the facility are consistently well-maintained.
Time Management: Capacity to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time to complete cleaning duties within specified timeframes.
Physical Stamina: Capability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods, as well as working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Communication: Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with other staff members and report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to supervisors promptly.
