Segnatore is a neighborhood restaurant in Humboldt Park. It's menu draws influence from the traditions of Italian cuisine with a focus on Midwest ingredients and hospitality-- spotlighting classic Italian dishes like house-made pastas with contemporary twists, and a rotating list of seasonal offerings.

Segnatore is s pecifically looking a ** PM line cook ** with occasional AM availability. Shifts will be Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat. There is flexibility with the schedule.

Culinary students encouraged to apply. Culinary degree not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service.
• Receive instruction from multiple sources and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Stock, organize, prepare, and cook service related items.
• Communicate respectfully with coworkers at all levels.
• Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
• Work quickly, cleanly and maintain health standards.

Skills & Requirements

• PASSION for cooking
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative attitude.
• Receptive to direction, constructive criticism and performance feedback.
• Fast learner - pasta cooking experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment, being solution oriented and resourceful
• Understand food quality, consistency & presentation
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification

Physical Demands

• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 5 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
