Lead Janitor

The Janitor, Lead oversees janitorial activities and is responsible for general upkeep, maintenance cleaning, restocking and securing of interior buildings/facilities/lobbys office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

• Reports status and activities to the Project Manager.
• Picks up trash and replace trash liners.
• Vacuums, mops, polishes and sweeps all floor areas
• Dusts, spot clean sall glass, polishes, and sanitizes all areas.
• Washes, cleans, wipes down, sponges, rinses, scours and disinfects any assigned work area
• Notes and reporst all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Closes and secures all rooms upon exiting.
• Operates floor cleaning and other cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid state drivers license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
• Ability to complete task to the highest standards possible.
• Ability to deal with frequent interruptions.
• Identify safety and hazards and act accordingly.
• Carry out proper cleaning procedures on a daily basis.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
