Softball Groundskeeper - Maintenance

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Softball Groundskeeper to be responsible for the daily maintenance for Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. This includes clay, turf, and grounds maintenance (operating reel mowers; carrying out fertilization programs, spray schedules, and watering requirements; performing facility and equipment maintenance) and interacting daily with University of Florida Softball staff and student athletes.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree*
  • One year of grounds maintenance experience*
  • Knowledge of infield clay(s)/skinned areas and applicable maintenance practices
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, efficient individual
  • Flexible individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to work schedules
  • Ability to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with coaching staff, coworkers, student-athletes, fans, and vendors
  • Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and with high energy, intense personalities
  • Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include some evenings, weekends, holidays

* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of education/experience requirements
