Evening Janitor

About the Role:

The Non Union Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the our Jackson MI location. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are kept in pristine condition, which directly impacts employee satisfaction and productivity. The janitor will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces, to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness. Additionally, the role involves monitoring supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance issues, and adhering to safety protocols. Ultimately, the Non Union Janitor contributes to a positive workplace atmosphere by ensuring that the corporate headquarters is always presentable and functional for all employees and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks.
• Experience in a corporate or office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in all areas of the corporate headquarters.
• Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while performing cleaning duties.
• Assist in setting up and taking down furniture for events or meetings as needed.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include attention to detail and time management, which are essential for completing cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly. The ability to work independently allows the janitor to take initiative in maintaining cleanliness without constant supervision.
